Christiana J. Paul Spring 2017
The Christiana J. Paul Spring 2017 collection draws upon the unique inspiration of a house designed by the architect, interior designer, and textile designer Alexander Girard in her hometown of Grosse Pointe, MI. Using the vibrant, colorful, geometric patterns Girard is known for, the collection, titled “A Whispered Drama,” incorporates specific design elements of the house’s exterior, interior, and accents.
When Christina designs, she does it with her heart. Her passion for fashion is reflected in every detail. For the Spring 2017 collection, Christiana used the standout characteristics of the house to bring Girard’s architectural relevance to the collection. The patchwork style used in each garment represents a blue print or floor plan as a foundation; the natural shades are inspired by the colors seen in and around the home; and geometric patterns capture the uniqueness of the house’s interiors.
“A Whispered Drama” is artistically, and careful created to make you feel that each piece is truly piece of art, something untouchable and touchable at the same time.
It is not only a dress; it’s a story, love for fashion that you can feel that every detail was planned and with a propose to make you look elegant and confident. It is stunning, chic, and modern, with a story to tell. I had the extreme pleasure to wear several of her dresses during New York Fashion Week this year, and I can honestly say each felt feminine and beautiful.
Christina J. Paul Spring 2017 collection was designed with consultation of Minura Yamasaki and several contributors to the house, including Ruth Adler Schnee. Learn more about the designer at http://christianajpaul.com.
