The Met Museum and the Costume Institute are celebrating Pride month with the exhibition “Camp. Notes on Fashion.” They’ll be hosting a series of events, performances, discussions, and workshops. The excitement starts on June 11, during “Museum Mile,” from 6:30 to 7 p.m., Battle of the Legends: Vogueing at The Met is inviting six competitors—Asia Balenciaga, Bootz Prodigy, Dashaun Lanvin, Omari Mizrahi, Tamiyah Mugler, and Ty Ebony—to perform.
Competition judges will include Twiggy Garcon; Jordan Roth, Jose Xtravaganza, and Anna Wintour, Editor in Chief of Vogue. The performances will culminate in the selection of a crowd favorite and a grand prize winner—the "Legend Slayer."
On June 23 Sunday at The Met will be happening a conversation between the greatest Billy Porter and Madison Moore. Porter and Moore will discuss the exhibition Camp: Notes on Fashion, the concept of camp in performance, and the impact of ballroom style on pop culture and high fashion.
