Last February, I had the pleasure to attend the Lorry Newhouse Fall 2014 presentation at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City.
I was beyond excited to see her collection. Presented at the Soho House, Newhouse could not have found a better place to express her inspiration for the collection. Stepping into the venue was like being transported back to the Roaring Twenties.
Walking into the Soho House library, I could see Lorry was there, relaxed and elegant – giving us a taste of how a Lorry Newhouse girl should be. The Fall 2014 collection is a reflection of Newhouse herself: full of grace, romantic, classy…conservative with a touch of sass.
Every piece is absolutely feminine. The glamorous models roamed about, giving attendees the feeling of being in another world. The venue was a wonderful touch, bringing Newhouse’s styles to life and helping to provide context to her designs.
Every piece was absolutely feminine, the models walked around, giving us more of that feeling of being in another world, the world of Lorry Newhouse that luckily l had a chance to see.
